Pretty decent hotel. Basically every public amenity was broken or unusable though. Stayed here twice and never really had any complaints. Prices were a little high but for a place that's right on the beach of Lake Huron you can't really get a better deal. Beds didn't have a comforter. Don't expect anything super fancy but but do expect a decent nights sleep
Everyone that is leaving anything above a 1 star review either works for this hotel, or has never stayed here. This was hands down the worst experience we've ever had in our travels. Customer service is of the lowest quality. We had made a reservation for a wedding we were attending one weekend and had been charged for the room before even checking in. Chris was the attendant up front when we checked in and she informed us that their hotel does not charge anyone until the time of arrival. She stated that we had two bookings for the same room, one that was dated for two months prior which they marked as a no show and forced us to pay for the room again that night. When questioned, she directed us to call the original booking agent as it was not their fault for the double charge. The attendant was rather unpleasant, extremely unprofessional, and not accommodating what so ever. We requested to speak with a manager, who never contacted us. We have since taken up a dispute with the original booking agent who only has records of us making 1 reservation. We have now been trying to reach the manager for 12 hours, who likely doesn't even exist. We've been promised several times we would receive a call, but apparently their manager comes and goes as he pleases and holds the customer base as bottom priority. This doesn't even cover the issues we had with the room. The room itself was filthy, our towels were dirty upon arrival, and the place smelled awful. If your current residence is a dumpster, you may find this as a rather pleasant weekend get away. If you're used to normal conditions, seek another hotel. I am confident my 8 year old daughter has a better chance at running this dump successfully. It's only getting 1 star because we physically couldn't rate it any lower.
I'd give it a zero if I could. Worst vacation stay my life. They only reserved my room for one day, instead of two as requested, so I had to switch rooms in the middle of my stay which was a hassle. Price was more than what they quoted me on the phone. The room the first night was disgusting. Moldy food in the microwave. Dog poop under the desk. TV only had one channel. Toilet was backing up. No comforter on the bed. Spiders all over the outside windows. Second room was better but neither room was worth the price they're charging. We had about 15 rooms booked in our group and everyone had problems. Worst part is the staff offered no concern or accommodations for our troubles. Instead they suggested that a manger would call but that call never came. We will be going somewhere else next year and I suggest you do the same.
Its right on the beach. Beach is clean. Hotel needs some serious updates. Employees were nice. They are pet friendly. It isn't the best place but its inexpensive and perfect for a place to lay your head.
