Rented the blue and brown cottages for our family. The cottages were clean and comfortable. Plenty of kitchen ware for our family. Lovely evenings on the lake front. Beautiful flowers are planted in the area surrounding the cottages, but there is still room to play and eat outside. The owners were attentive and kind. Will probably rent again in the future.
Stayed at Coles Lakefront Cottages. What a great time. First thing that catches the eye is the beautiful view straight down the lake. Greg and Vicky (the owners) greeted us with a smile. Had the oportunity to stay up for a week and enjoyed every minute of it. My family stayed in the blue cottage and it was well kept and clean. So much is offered at the cottages and in oscoda that my family will be back.
This place is a great place to enjoy quality family time. The property and cottages are very well maintained and very clean. This is the perfect place to enjoy great fishing. Greg and Vicky are friendly approachable hosts!
This is not a family or kid friendly place. The owners are very cold and rude. Watches everything you do. In fact, they watch through their window. Their cabins are very old and smelly. They take an extra $200 for security. Before you leave, the husband and wife come together with a very determined and cold face for INSPECTION to make sure you clean their old cabin and they look for little breaks or scraches so they can take your deposit. Had a horrible experience. The place feels depressing. Please don't waste your vacation or your money on a disgusting place with mean and rude owners. Very fake and unfriendly. They act like they own Ritz Carlton. In addition, their bedding had stains and the kitchen supplies were mainly unwashed. Their running water was Yellow. So many other places in Oscodo that is a lot less expensive, clean and very nice owners. We were so happy to leave this place. They made our stay feel horrible. VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT PEOPLE AND PLACES LIKE THIS CALL THEMSELVES VACATION SPOTS. Do Not Go.
The homeowners were extremely anal and worried about everything that could possibly break. Luckily, after a military style inspection of the property, including a record four flushes to ensure the toilet still worked, and inspection of the TV to make sure the satellite was functioning, they did not find any damages. When we tried to start the fire and asked Vicky for starter wood or newspaper, she said she did not have any and troubled us to drive to get starter wood. While working on the fire, she remember to tell us on multiple occasions that the fire had to be maintained at a certain height. Not very friendly or helpful and reminded us three different times that check out was precisely at 12:00 p.m.
