This beach park is in the heart of picture-perfect Oscoda, Michigan. They often have live music that packs the park with revelers. Lake Huron is beautiful, but often ice-cold. Plenty of room to take a stroll here and they offer picnic and a nice changing house and a playground. Alcohol is not allowed here and the park closes at sundown so no beach fires or camping. There is no concession here, either, but there are plenty of food and drink options within walking distance. The Dairy Queen just up River Road is perfect to cool one down after a long day in the sun.
Relaxing spot to sit on the beach with you dog. There's a nice long pier to walk down, with benches along the way. Fantastic view of Lake Huron
Such a beautiful park. The boardwalk is amazing, splash park, skate park and play park were all wonderful. The bathroom was clean and will stocked during very populated visit! Worth the drive and worth visiting.
This is one of my favorite places on vacation. Lake Huron beaches along this coast are clean and maintained. Lake Huron is known for it's awesome sandbars and the water is shallow enough that you can go out quite far beyond them. The park here is very nice. North end of beach has a beautiful, newer pier to enjoy the views and coastal breeze... I visit here every year
This is a favorite beach of ours. If you get there early on the weekends you can have your pick of spots, and during the week it's even better. The water is shallow for quite a way out so it's great for kids. The playground and picnic areas are pretty good, and the bathrooms/changing facilities are decent though a little cramped. Only complaints I have are more about behavior of other people who were also visiting at times in terms of language and such. A few were throwing their cigarette butts in the sand and having some colorful conversations about their prospects with the ladies (spoiler: it wasn't looking good for him). You can't really control that.
